Is it possible to go straight into the USMC as an officer? Or must you first go in as enlisted and work your way up? If you can go in as an officer, what are the requirements?

Get a college degree from a 4-year university.

Other requirements may vary, depending on the position you seek. Check with a USMC officer recruiter (not an enlisted recruiter).

Yes, it is possible. You can earn a commission a number of ways. 1.) go to the Naval Academy 2) NROTC or 3) OCS through the PLC or OCC programs.

I earned my commission through PLC in which you go to OCS during two 6 weeks sessions during ths summer while in college. OCC applies more to college seniors or graduates and consists of a single 10 week session. Find an OSO (Officer Selection Officer) to talk about these programs. A normal recruiter cannot enroll you in officer programs and has his own quotas to fill for the enlisted ranks, so you want to make sure you find the OSO.

Yes there are a number of programs to go through to become a officer in the USMC, but I would suggest not to go that route. If you really want to lead enlisted Marines become one first. You need to know what the enlisted go through before you can really lead them good. If you go through your first four years and you enjoy it then go through the boost program and become an officer. The best offiers I've ever served under were the ones that were prior enlisted

Minimum requirements are a 4 year degree and US Citizenship.

The 4 year degree can be acomplished in several ways.. The US Naval Academy(if you are a HS Junior or Sophomore, you can aplly); attend a college or university that has a Naval ROTC unit and participate in ROTC; getting your degree in another way and then applying for OCS.

I believe you can go in as an officer if you have a college degree. Call a recruiter, find out for sure.
