The pharmacist at CVS said the pills are not yet available to girls without a prescription. Can anyone just buy them over-the-counter as the law just passed prescribed?

The FDA ruled that Plan B can be bought Behind the Counter during the summer. It takes about six months for them to make the transition. There is a difference between over the counter and behind the counter. To buy Plan B, you'll have to be 18 and a pharmacist or other licensed health professional will have to be present. Some states allow people to buy Plan B without a prescription.

they are not available at pharmacies, but you can get them through your doctor with no questions asked, or you can go to planned parent hood. There has been some talk about making the drug available in drug stores, but I do not believe that the FDA has come to a conclusion about the subject.

I got them through a clinic and I had to sign some form for it. But I didn't get it through prescription or over-the-counter. Well it might count as a subscription sort of.

check around, they should be available. But please don't use it as a form of birth control. It's considered an emergency contraceptive, it's strong medicine. Use condoms and spermicidal jelly instead when you have sex so you don't have to take a bunch of horomones that make your body spew out a possible pregnancy.

It depends on which country and which state you live in. Do a search on Planned Parenthood and they will have a contact number for an office in your area, and they will have that information for you.

yes.......but they are still prescription. While it been approved for OTC use, the labelling, packaging, etc. still needs approval. You will still need to get them from the pharmacy, they won't be sitting next to the laxatives.
