The real concern is your daily intake of tylenol. It's the 500mg.... the lower number is the hydrocodone. 2 grams a day is considered the safe maximum (w/a healthy liver) by most doctors. If you need this pain medication for a while, you may want to ask for Norco as it has only 325 mg tylenol.
Constipation can be a problem with opioids. If it's a problem, you'll need a stimulating laxative not a softener as opioids paralyze the bowel.

I'm a chronic pain patient and used Norco for over a year before changing meds. In the right dose, it's very effective.
Good luck and hope you have pain free days

Only if the doctor prescibed it that way. If only one works on the pain just take one every four hours. It is according to how much pain you are in. If two every four hours do not relieve the pain you need to go back to the doctor.

Scorpio is right, it's gonna feel like an honest to god brick coming out next time you take a dump.

I'm curious why you were given such a strong dose in the first place.

I have seen it ordered that way, but I caution you. If you take that med for that long make sure you take Colace, a stool softener. Even with that you are in for a surprise when you try to have a BM
