im taking 100mg of zoloft in the morning for mild aniexty my question is i use marijuana once in a blue moon and i use it in the afternoon,,, do zoloft and marijuana interact with each other and can it kill me or hurt me?
please be aware that im not taking zoloft and cannbis together at the same time of the day...
please serious answers :)

It's not going to kill you, but it is really contraindicated to take any mind altering substance such as cannabis with psychoactive medications such as zoloft or prozac, as it can have an affect on the medication's effectiveness, regardless of whether you use them at the same time of day or not.

Well for one thing Zoloft os an antidepressant. Cannabis is a downer. Really one will help cancel the other out. I recommend sticking to whats legal before you end up compouding your problems by getting caught with the illegal substance and ending up with more trouble than what it's worth.

I take zoloft, 100 mg a day as well. I never had a problem with interactions. I stopped smoking pot completely now, but for other reasons. I don't want to fry my brain any longer. But my psychiatrist knew I was smoking it. He said I wasn't endangering my health, but I was messing up my memory, as pot is well-known for doing.

I took zoloft for years and smoked pot without any problems....
If you are that worries, ask your doctor... I'm serious. My Dr. was very appreciative of the fact I was open with him about my pot smoking. ( I was never an every day smoker, just once or twice per month )

Pot is the number one cause of depression and anxiety disorders in our society. If you have an anxiety disorder, than it is beyond stupid to use pot.....ever.
