Come on, think about it.
The plants just grow using the sun energy, and ask for nothing else, so those are the primary producer. Rabbits will eat the plant, so they are the primary consumer. And coyote will eat the rabbits.

clover plants would be primary producers because as plants are they are the producers creating food for the rest of the food chain. primary consumers would be the rabbit who eat the producers and are the next step in the food chain. The coyote is the secondary consumer because they eat the body and meat of the primary consumers. so it would work like this
clover plants > rabbit >coyote

The primary producer in this particular eceosystem is the clover plants. When they thrive, the rabbits, the secondary consumers also thrive as they live on teh clover plants. The coyotes are the primary consumers as they consume the rabbits.

First the clover plants are the producers because they produce food through photosynthesis, then rabbits eat the plants, they are the primary consumers or herbivores, they cannot produce their own food so therefore they eat the plants for food. Finally, the cayotes eat the rabbits, they are the secondary consumers because they also cannot produce their own food so they eat the rabbits for food.

clover=primary producer
rabbit= primary consumer
coyote=secondary consumer
The clover produces food for the rabbit, the rabbit is the first, or primary, to consume it. The coyote is the secondary consumer because he ingests the clover on a secondary basis, meaning through the rabbit who already ate it.

When they look at an ecosystem there is always some foundation species that directly harvests energy from the sun, for example, grass (primary producers). Next are herbivores (primary consumers) that eat the grass, such as the rabbit. Next are carnivores (secondary consumers) that eat the rabbit, such as a bobcat.
