No human food is good for dogs. Their digestive system isn't made to digest the same things that we eat. Will it kill them...probably not. But too much people food can cause problems in dogs ranging from G.I. upset to pancreatitis, and other problems. What is too much. It all depends on the dog itself. Some dogs have a much lower tollerence level than others. SO it would be better if you just fed dog food. Som people food can cause death...so be very careful on what you give him/her if you decide not to listen.
It wont cause them to get worms...that's just a myth. Dogs get worms from coming into contact with worm eggs...and they pick it up. And definately dont feed dairy products.

Large amounts of sugar, like if a dog gets a box of cookies or a cake, can give a dog acute pancreatitis. Chocolate of any kind is toxic to dogs. Since sugar cookies are not chocolate, a small amount like a cookie or two on a very rare occasion, while not healthy, probably would not cause a serious problem. More than that and you are asking for trouble. If you are asking because your dog just ate a box of sugar cookies, take him to the vet and they will give him something to make him upchuck.

It's not real good for them but real sugar is better for dogs than some artificial sweeteners. Dogs don't metabolize foods like humans do and things we would think are harmless can kill dogs. I know chocolate, onions, the artificial sweetener xylitol , grapes and raisins and more than just a little bit of salt are all really really bad for dogs.
A LITTLE real sugar once in a while shouldn't hurt unless the dog is diabetic.

WATCH OUT.....some cookies have ingredients which are fatal to dogs. Macadamia nuts will cause a dog's sugar level to drop to fatally low levels. Best stick to doggy cookies....sold at most pet stores and a few are pretty affordable.

i have always heard you should not give a dog sugar ,but i had a dog and i would put peanut m&ms in the freezer i would wait till she was asleep and then i would sneak in to the freezer and get my m&ms and as soon as i would get them out and open them up she would be there ,needless to say she would get 2/3 rd of them and i would still be craving ,so i had to give up on m&ms ,which were my favorite ,and it didnt matter what time it was but as soon as i opened them she was there .she loved them i guess more than i did she won every time .
