At this moment it is 18 although there have been rumors of it going to be 21 soon, but hey its not the first time that has come up and who knows but one thing is for sure i doubt they will change it from 18 to 21.

Hi. Legal age for drinking in Puerto Rico is 18. ID is not always checked when you are buying drinks unless you look too young. Some places just check your ID to let you in so they don't have to worry about asking for the id on the bar. Most places where ID is required allow people who are over 18, some places let you in if you are over 21 and there is a nice pub in southeastern puerto rico (guayama)that for reasons i still can't understand let you in only if you are over 23! If you are coming to puerto rico, and have the legal drinking age (already said to be 18) ask us for the coolest places, or the cheapest - as u prefer!

Legal drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18, but there are some clubs that would let in only 21 year old and over. Going out age: since you're 13...it is very easy to get alcohol and find where to hang out with your friends. The comment about the taxi drivers and weed, is totally untrue.

It is stated to be 18 but as long as you can reach over the counter the counter your good to go. They dont check ID's like we do in the states, also many cab driver will offer you weed and what would seem to be a cheap price. Dont buy into it 9 times out of 10 its not even real.
