Your school library has a fictional section!?!?!? Do you all just pretend that section is there, or what?
If it was in the fiction section.... it was mis-shelved. No library would put it there because libraries use classification systems (usually either Dewey Decimal or L.C.) The Dewey Decimal system puts religion (with no assumption of "truth") in the 200's even though "Creationists" want their "Creation Science" in the Science section -- which it is not. By the way "fiction" (in the library world) doesn't mean something isn't true, but rather that it isn't factual. And conversely the Non-fiction section does not require that something IS true, only that it is a factual study of something. Books purporting to study the Loch Ness Monster and Big Foot are in the Non-fiction section
The Old Testament of the Bible is a mix of cultural history and the Mythology of the Hebrews. Religion is the attempt of humans to explain our purpose and meaning and we certainly do use metaphorical stories that have no factual base when trying to explain our religion and beliefs. So yes, the bible contains fiction. No, the bible is not properly shelved in the fiction section of the library... look at the spine and you will find :
220.5
B471
or something very close to that.
If it is catalogued as fiction it will have the author's name on the spine.

Interesting is that you think crap is holy but not the Bible!
Did you know it is still the #1 Best Seller every year?
Maybe it is in that section of the library so it can be made available to students. Stopping some crazy parent from protesting and having it removed.
Remember one woman's crusade had prayer removed from public schools. Madalyn Murray O'Hair in 1963.
On Mothers Day in 1980, her son William converted to Christianity and was "born again" at a Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, where he took up work as a preacher. This led to a permanent estrangement between mother and son. As she put it, "One could call this a postnatal abortion on the part of a mother, I guess; I repudiate him entirely and completely for now and all times...He is beyond human forgiveness."
William accused his mother of using him as a tool in her crusade, claiming she had lied about her reasons for filing the lawsuit against Maryland, and that he had never been the victim of any kind of violence at the hands of his Christian classmates. He said that the true reason for his mother filing the suit was her deep personal hatred for followers of Christianity. He said her zeal against Christianity was so great that it had taken over her life and rendered her incapable of seeing other people (himself included) as anything but either enemies or people who agreed with her every ideal.
O'Hair founded the group American Atheists in 1963 and remained its leading spokesperson until 1995, when she and two of her adult children vanished after leaving a note saying they would be away temporarily. The trio appeared to have taken with them at least $500,000 in American Atheist funds; one private investigator concluded that they had fled to New Zealand. Eventually suspicion turned to David Roland Waters, an ex-convict who had worked at the American Atheist offices. Police concluded that he and accomplices had kidnapped the O'Hairs, forced them to withdraw the missing funds, and then murdered them. Waters eventually pled guilty to reduced charges and in January 2001 he led police to three bodies buried on a remote Texas ranch, which proved to be O'Hair and her children.
To some the Bible has no meaning, but to some of us it is God's Word.
Why do we think differences in our own beliefs, morals, values and ideas gives us the right to bash others? Hatred and intolerance has no place in our world.
Being narrow minded allows little room for viewing life and the world around you.
Try being more open minded and accept people for who they are and I think you will find peace.

Well that would also make you Satan fictional too
But the truth is that it is the only 100% true book in the library.

Not funny at all, discouraging. What is wrong with people? The Bible is about love and acceptance and yet there are so many people unaccepting! They're so afraid of being judged by others when in reality they're only judging themselves when it doesn't matter what others think and God doesn't care what you've done! We are all forgiven! That is the only thing worth living for ----hope!!! And knowing that you are a good person! That is what the Bible is about! Why are we all taught so wrong about it?

No, it is not funny and I completely agree with "Amy V". It is awful that it would have to be pushed to that section of the library. God is all about acceptance and love!! Do not make fun of what you do not understand.

Well, it identified it as a book at least. They can't say one way or another about it being real or not because there is the separation of church and state.
