The German government did not recognize most of the Lutherans. That left the Catholics. Some did take in the Jews. Some really didn't know what was going on with the Jews(being killed) and remember, You could be killed at any time for speaking out about the Nazis.

I think some of your numbers are OFF.
Plus, don't forget the "White Rose Society", the Christian Youth movement that opposed the Nazis. They suffered also.
The real Christians usually went to jail, directly to jail, do not pass go.....you get the idea.
Anybody can walk into a building and claim membership. That no more makes you a Christian than walking into a MacDonalds makes you a hamburger!

there's a distinction between calling your self a christian and being one. that's no longer accessible for a christian to do what they did that's in simple terms no longer suitable. The Jew's prayed for the Jew's
