We don't have any outlet stores... usually outlet stores are in big factory-type of places in the middle of nowhere because it is cheap. Manhattan is certainly not cheap, nor is there any space. But, you can find a lot of REALLY great and not-so-expensive clothing in the stores on 34th Street. There is H&M, Forever 21, Le Chateau, The Gap, Daffy's, Macy's (the biggest one in the world), Victoria's Secret, American Eagle, Old Navy... and many other stores that you would usually see or never have seen. Also, right on 33rd and Broadway is the Manhattan Mall for other mall stores... but I'd suggest H&M and Forever 21 because they are really affordable and you get get some really original looking stuff... very good for layering.

If you want to venture out a little more, head down to 8th Street and walk around the St. Mark's area and below... all the way down to Canal if you like, and around Broadway as well down there and you will find some great original and affordable clothes.

Have a good time.. and all of the places I listed are very safe.

There's not many oulets in NYC (if any) ... but there are a lot of great stores in the city ... if you're looking for a cheap store with good quality products I would suggest TJ Maxx on 6th Avenue and around 18th or 19th Street. There's also a lot of great stores in SoHo part of Manhattan although some of them may get a lilttle price-y ... but you may be lucky and find some great things on sale ... in Mid-town you can find a lot of stores in one place and that's a popular area for tourists (not my favorite b/c there's not too many stores that differ from the rest) ... another area that's great for shopping is downtown Manhattan... there's a place called Century21 (it's similar to Tj Maxx) it's located at 22 Cortlandt Street (between Church and Broadway) and you can take the subway to R or W City Hall and Rector street stops. Also, a great place to visit is the Seaport (pier 17) and Brooklyn Bridge at night ... Have fun in New York!!
