My daughter just came back from church and told me they taught her that ACTS stand for 4 praying symbols. She can't remember A,C,S...but says T stands for Thanks or Thanksgiving. This was an Assembly of God Church. Just curious. Thank you.

Acts was a book written by Luke, a companion of Paul. he wrote it as a record of the events that occurred after Jesus' Ascension. It is simply a sequel to his gospel.

Maybe they meant something else but, Acts the book of the bible is just short for the acts of the apostles.
