I have a woman friend who likes to eat (she's a marathoner--go figure) and I would like to impress her romantically with a homemade meal. I am a good cook...what meal should I make her to get her attention? Thanks to all the ladies who answer!

Pick a meal that you consider to be your specialty. You don't have to worry about finding a new recipe and you know it's good.

bake chicken breast in the oven as directed. In the last 10 mins of baking, place a slice of swiss cheese over the chicken and mild salsa to cover it.

cook some pasta as directed. Ad 2 big spoonfuls of mayo and one spoon full of ranch dressing, mix well. Add a can of drained diced tomatos - mix

throw some sliced green bell pepper, red ball pepper, yellow crook-neck sqush and slices zuccini in a little butter in a pan and grill til slightly brown with pepper to taste.

nice, simple and impressive.

My husband impressed me with a four course Chinese meal. But I think marathoners are into pasta. Maybe a good lasagna and tiramisu.

Maybe grilled chicken with some colorful diced peppers scattered on top?

It'd look really pretty and give kind of a restaurant appearance to it. And I don't think it would be way hard to make..

Oh, and maybe you could serve it with a rose placed beside it.<3

High fiber-whole grain bread
Omega 3s-salmon in garlic butter
Probiotics-expensive yogurt for desert
Enzymes-fresh fruits and vegetables-I recommend asparagus lightly steamed and a fresh mixed green salad with a variety of salad dressings to select

chicken in mustard sauce is one of my favs to cook for friends. Or homemade teriaki pepper steak. Both dishes are good over rice, and not hard to make.
And good on you, sir, for being so thoughtful. Too bad more men aren't like you!

I don't think it matters as long as its healthy and tastes good. I;m sure the conversation and your sweet genuine gesture will score major brownie points no matter what. Find out what one of her favorite dishes are and go for it. Have fun!

My redhead loves it when I grill. Salmon's her favorite. She loves good wine, too. Candles, soft music, and strawberries dipped in chocolate (with a red wine, she goes nuts).
