im going to the doctors tomorrow.
and i want my blood checked for everything.

so what do doctors check your blood for?
i know diabeties, and your thyroid.

what are others??

and how much blood do you think they'll need if i want to be checked for lots of things? (im sort of a hypochondriac i guess)

They will do a blood count, electrolytes, liver function and cholesterol tests also. Probably three tubes of blood, but, with the vacuum tube system, this is no more painful than one blood sample.

The blood test can be for checking cholestrol, Blood sugar, Kidney & liver function, PSA (Prostate specific antigen) for prostate cancer detection. There are severaL MORE TESTS e.g. for STD (sexually transmitted desease) for AIDS. It can also be used for detecting specific infections. You don't want to decide what tests to undergo. Discuss it with your doctor and let your doctor decide. Usually 2-3 small vials are sufficient for most tests.

you don't want to do too many things because you will run into false positives. ask for a blood count, to check your liver, kidney, thyroid, cholesterol. if you have concerns about getting HIV, hepatitis (from unsafe sex or drug use) ask for HIV, hepatitis C and B

they can test blood for DNA, Aids, Venereal Disease, Anemia, Infection ( red and white blood cell counts, drug use, paternity, maternity, cancer and other illnesses, to name a few
