I would feel rather elated, and let her join me to dinner, or a movie, and see how things work out.
And I don't believe age is relevant to love -- young people have just the same emotions older people do. The difference is in that the older people have seen more, and are usually able to make responsible decisions.

Im 14 and told a guy that once a couple a weeks ago, i liked him for FIVE years no i LOVED him for that long and people i told that think im to young but i know what it feels like! anyway he told he didnt share the same feelings and thathe didnt think he'd ever like me again(we had went out before when we were 11). Yeah but he wasnt freaked out, were still friends and everything. So you should tell him and see what happens and maybe it'll work out better for you
