I know allot of people who won't eat pork and its not for religious regions. So why not eat it?

I worked on a construction crew building hog barns. If I were not addicted to bacon, I'd never buy another pork product again. I just don't think that mega-farm complexes treat the animals well at all. the pens which they are put into are the size of phonebooths. because of my feelings on treating animals well, I try to only eat meat that I have participated in the preparation of, or know for a fact were treated well. unfortunately, after much experimentation, I have yet to come up with a suitable replacement for bacon... I try to limit my buying of bacon to once every few months.

This is a crude meat that is not healthy for us. It is considered unclean because its digestive system takes only 3 hours to complete its process. A chicken has a gizzard and a cow has 4 stomachs to digest food. Another reason is the nature of the pig. This is the animal we use to describe slobs. "He's a pig. He lives in a pig sty." The pig is the one animal that will eat its own feces. There are scientific reasons for abstaining from pork.

I don't like the texture of it nor the taste
I've never eaten pork, made by anyone, not even in the finest restaurant that could make pork taste good.

Because I don't eat meat. I used to eat pork chops when I was a meat eater, and I considered that as a pretty healthy choice when I cut the fat off...

Pork used to carry parasites. That has not been true for 50 years, but the issue remains. Pork is great food.
