I'll say christinaity and islam, because they have more followers than the rest and are constantly at war.

Which two would you flush down the metaphoric toilet http://flushaholybook.com

why would anyone want to eliminate something that holds such reverential and special meaning to so many people?

this is where i think we often go wrong: you don't have to agree with something to accept that it is a valid expression of one's beliefs.

you can choose not to agree with the doctrines of the islamic faith or the christian faith. it is when you decide that these should be eliminated because of the fact that they raise controversy that it becomes censorship, plain and simple.

the religions you mention may seem to constantly be at war, but surely dissent and crtitical speech is what fuels revolutions. this can then serve as a function of social change, which is not religion-specific, but instead a possibilty for sociaty as a whole.

if you take away the shades of grey what are you left with?

Good question!

I love Buddhism and Hinduism because they don't go around punishing people for not beliving.

Church of Scientology: This is a cult with absolutely nothing to offer to alleviate the sufferings of life.
Catholicism: This is a bunch of misguided fanatics milking money from the uneducated peasants worldwide and using it toward the Vatican's own political agenda.

I'd like to get rid of them all but....If I had to pick two, I'd have to agree with Christianity and Islam. They both want to exercise a huge amount of control over the lives of everyone around them and can't seem to accept that many people just don't want their god.

I don't understand your problem with religion... if you don't believe in any, fine, your choice, but don't blame religions for the actions of those who are too weak to justify their own crimes, so they blame it on their own religions, or on others...

Bush is using Christianity not because he's such a good Christian... he could not reach the majority with his nonsense BS that clicked with no one... so, now he's using Christianity to reach to those who identify with it....

I would not eliminate any religion I would try to learn something about all religions and be open to what each religion has to offer. No religion is the right religion, believing in one particular religion depends on the needs of the individual.

agreed. Christianity and Islam would have to go first. However, I've never heard of a budhist monk advocating the senseless murder or eternal torture for non-believers so they would be the last religion I would consider eliminating.
