I usually remove the scarecrows after Halloween. I always try to opt for more Harvest decorations and cheery Halloween decorations such as scarecrows and lighted pumkins.

Fall decorations with a scarecrow. Get some bells of hay or straw, corn stalks, mums, pumpkins, and a scarecrow and set them up together in your yard. You can leave them there until Thanksgiving.

I would consider it both, depending on when you put it out.If you wanted to put it out at this time of year, knowing that Halloween is just a few weeks away you could just put mask on it so that it doesn't have that dumb smile on it old clothes, and you will have the perfect Halloween decoration, then after beggars night, take the clothes off and leave it up for Thanksgiving.
