I want to be able to reach higher notes, how can I do that?

judging by the name your a guy. Most men can sing falsetto. In a falsetto you will be able to hit the higher octaves (like Chicago).

First, practice proper breath support. Then, work on your lower notes, which will also increase the higher notes you are able to sing.

Learn to sing correctly. It all comes down to having proper breath support. I strongly suggest you take a few lessons before you do any damage.

I agree with the others - you need a voice teacher. They will help you more than me telling you what you need to do. You need to decide what kind of music you are interested in and what kind of teacher can help you the most.

Honestly, the best way is to get a voice teacher or take a voice class. It will do far more for you than you could do for yourself.
