The grounds, which fell into decline following Bakker's downfall in the late 1980s, have been bought by MorningStar Ministries, which is developing a church and Christian school on the site.

"I don't understand our God, but he runs us in cycles," Bakker said. "Most of you are so young, you don't even know who I am."

Sheep will follow the leader off a cliff and not ask why. A wise man has original thoughts that he has accumulated throughout his life.

I read his book, "I Was Wrong". What a fall that man had. I pray to God he has been truly restored, and has come back to faith in God stronger than he could ever have imagined. May God bless him and continue to restore him and keep him faithful.
