Yes they had a tragdey in their community and we want to help. But in all actuallity they don't want help. They don't want our money. All they want is to be left alone so why can't we just leave them alone and let them mourn in peace?

I have a surprise for you, the Amish people do use our money. They also use electricity to milk the cows, our medicines (there is a disease that is prevalent among them and they use the medicine and have to use electricity to counter it), they sell their goods to non-Amish. They are always in NYC selling their items.

But I agree with you that the news media tries to force issues on us and don't respect people privacy. However, they wouldn't do it if people didn't read or watch their stories.

1. Because our Media thinks they have a 'right to intrude" upon their tragedy.
2. Because people want to become part of the tragedy so that they themselves may become part of the story.
3. Because people have nothing else to do.

But the Amish are gentle wonderful people that will show the rest of us how to handle a tragedy of this magnitude with not just love, understand, sympathy, but dignity and nobility. a people that understand their union with their Almighty God is their source of their strength.

we all need, once in awhile, to have a glimmer of true humanity and its goodness. This is the window we now see through clearly. My God comfort and hold the Amish in His hands throughout this tragedy.

Because they're community is still in the jurisdiction of the law. A murder is a felony, even though the killer killed himself as well. It's unlawful to not do anything.

The Amish people need our help. They are still living in the past. We have to make them realize that it is our duty to help them come in the 21st. century. Why do they want to be outcast in the fisrt place? We must help, it is our duty!

How do you know what they want? Do you know that Amish men have a high incidence of wife-beating? Check it out on the net, if you don't believe me.
