I mean, the Bible is a fairytale, and God / religion in general was made up to control people etc. Why did they do this? Why is Jesus a black gay guy who bones God? Just curious..

well it no different than the government controling you? people are miserable, they are afraid of dying and they want to vent out, so they vent this by controling you, i had the same thought you did at one time, and yes i have tried church too and was majorly disappionted too. but i have searched for God still and the fact is that noone on this earth cannot stop me from dying some day, below is what the bible teaches that shows some things that you are talking about, if this stuff helps you great if not then by all means disregard it, i just want to share my view with you.....
the first one is a story of the exodus from Egypt by Moses he lead 600,000 men out of egypt to the promise land - only 4 survived the rest died because they disobeyed god too many times, that is a very small percentage, so only a few make it, also the story of noah and the flood too, only noah survived out of possible millions of people at that time....another proff of christianity being true is the fulfilled prophecies in the 20th century a total of 15 of them! go to the link below that i ran into, you dont guess 15 major things in the 20th century 2000 years ago and get them all right that is impossible, but again i know where you coming from so good question.....

God is a lie or he only cares about some people no matter how good or bad they are. And if he is real, why can't you ever count on him? You can always count on being disappointed. That's a loving God? Oh wait, I know, lets blame the devil. Ya, always some bullshit. Feel lucky that God cares about you even if you are a rapist, murderer or child molester. The rest of us he just laughs in our face.

History has shown that mankind needs a higher power/supreme being/creator whether real or imagined to believe in. It makes them feel comfortable knowing that this so called god is watching over them and they will go to heaven if they are good. For them, the idea that we are alone on this earth and this is as good as it gets it too horrible to even consider. Also there is is no Satan, He's also a man made invention to represent the evil that mankind does. And if there is a hell, it's right here on earth and we're living in it, Please pass the ice cubes.

Is most likely a constructed myth like most of these super natural stories from a time period where people just didn't understand the world or the universe. We can't disprove this concept much like we can't disprove that unicorns don't absolutely exist, but my take is that this concept doesn't solve any of our mysteries or our problems, it's just a gap filler for our ignorance.

You know what tiger, some people need to have faith in something. There is enough negative things going on in this world that believing in something (whether it be a fairytale or not) helps people succeed in this life.
Here's my question, who came back from the dead and told you this information you think you have correct. You tell me the source that has figured out that there is no life after death.
The second part of your question proves your maturity level
I think some of these educated individuals asking questions need to be screened.

The Father , Son and Holy Spirit is not a made up lie. You are a made up dreamer of nightmares. Dream on and when your done, then know that God is real. Might take you until you are an old man/woman, but I promise you, that someday you will know . Upon learning the truth and the way, about our precious God, the get down on your knee's and ask God for fogiveness, for the mocking of His name.

you really don't need to get so nasty tho I do understand your frustration.
try looking at it this way. myths aren't lies. myths are stories written by people whose science wasn't as advanced as yours so they explained natural phenom and human behavior as best they could with stories of magical invisible super beings. myths are the symbols of the collective conscious of an ancient culture.
your frustration occurs because science, logic and factual information is available at our fingertips and yet you see people still believing in invisible super beings and these primitive minded people have influence on your life whether you like it or not.
there's not much you can do about it except maybe log on to Yahoo! Answers and vent your frustrations or find amusement teasing the Fundy zealots or even try to spread the message of Truth.

They're a made up lie because they started out as myths and legends to explain existence. The only problem is that people hung on to these myths and legends even when modern science began to disprove them.

I really pity you,you misguided soul. If these are truly your beliefs, then you WILL burn in the lake of fire. It is your GOD given choice to believe that,if you so choose. God said in His Word that there would be those that hate Him and hate people for His namesake. Do you hate ME for this reason? Because I plan to pray for you, and I hope that you DO hate me for it! I shall consider it a privilege and an honor to be hated for the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings' namesake! You deserve all the pity and sorrow that could be given, although I doubt that you shall receive it, unless you change your heart. The first coming of Christ was nothing like the Second Coming shall be! The first time He came, only a few accepted Him and confessed Him as Lord and Saviour. When He comes again, the Word says that EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT HE IS LORD. That includes you, Sir. Whether you like it or not. The carnal man inside of me wishes that I could see that, but the Holy Spirit within me says to pray for you, and I shall. I pity you that you don't know Him and the Peace that comes with knowing and loving Him. That's your loss. If you truly DO feel the way that you say, then why get on the Religion page at all? Shouldn't you go answer or ask a question about something you know about like cartoons or comic books?
