How would I know? Based on the idea that someone told you you are fat? I can't see the picture in your avatar very well, but then I can't be sure that is you, anyway.
Only you can decide whether you need to lose weight. Perhaps all you need is to firm up a bit. Perhaps you need to lose weight, but not as much as all that. And maybe, like some women, you are actually too thin, but perceive yourself as fat.
Who was it who said that to you? Someone whose judgment you respect, or some crabby old lady at the street-corner, like happened to me one time? Standing waiting for a light to cross the street, this old hag just looks me up and down and says, "You should lose some weight!" The fact that I knew this was true (although not extreme) did not alter my shock and anger. How dare a total stranger talk to me like that? This was maybe 25 or 30 years ago, and I still remember, because it was so very rude.
Here's a rule of thumb: Do you look as good as the last time you fell in love? Think about it: it's not how much you weigh, it's how you feel about how much you weigh.

What difference does it make what anyone else tells you? How do you feel? Are you healthy, do you like the way you look, the way you feel? Are you gaining weight for no reason? After you answer all those questions if you're still confused, look in the mirror. Do you like what you see? All this matters, not what others think because they don't feel what you feel. Corny as it may sound, YOU have to be happy with yourself and that's all that counts.

You don't look fat at all. Focus on being healthy! The more you learn to love your body because it FEELS good, the less you'll give a s*it when people make stupid little meaningless comments like that. Take up yoga!

what does your doctor have to say? they measure something called your body mass index and could tell you whether or not you need to lose weight. family history also is important when it comes to conditions like diabetes.
but more importantly...are you happy with your appearance? if you dont have any over-riding health concerns and are happy with the way you look, then dont worry about what some insensitive jerk has to say.

Best way to get a true answer; go to Walmart and buy a bathroom scale that measures bodyfat. They include a chart. Get on the scale, see what your bodyfat is, and THEN you will know if you are overweight, or NOT!
