Would you choose a lifestyle where you would be forever regarded as a second-class citizen in your own country? Would you choose a lifestyle that would guarantee that you could never be on an equal footing with other couples in terms of marital rights? Would you choose a lifestyle where you were certain to be ostracized by your family, condemned by religious types, and scorned by most people?
Nah, I didn't think so.

There is increasing scientific evidence that homosexuality is part of some people's genetic makeup and brain chemistry. If this is true (research is still being done), then it isn't a choice any more than being born with blue eyes and brown hair was a choice for me.
As for why someone would make this choice....why not? Why choose to be straight? Some people believe that love should not be limited by what you look like; I see nothing wrong with that. Men and women are beautiful in their own ways; I see no reason to deny myself either one just because society doesn't like it.

Homosexuality has been around for centuries and centuries, and there is nothing new about it. You can see it in very old mythologies such as Greek myths. It may be a choice, and the reason must depend on the individuals. But I do believe that some people are born in that way. And even in animal world there is homosexuality. I had a gay cat when I was a child. No one should be judged by it.

I always answer that question with another question:
Is heterosexuality a choice? Does a straight person *consciously* choose to be attracted to the opposite sex?
Of course not.
Our gender identities are programmed by our brains from birth. Cross sections of the frozen hypothalamuses of straight and gay people reveal that the portion of the brain which controls gender identity in a straight male and a gay female are the same, and that of a straight female and a gay male are the same.

When I was growing up, I was always taught that homosexuality was a choice, and that people who made the choice to be that way did so out of rebellion against God's Will.
Personally, if I were going to rebel against God's will, I would find a more popular way to do it. But maybe that's just me.
I'm not saying that I know for sure that is ISN'T a choice, but I just can't fathom why someone would choose to be that way. Homosexuals, assuming they are the way they are out of choice, have chosen lives where they have very few relationship rights; people hate them and stare at them when they go out in public, making comments like "There goes Frick and Frack" or "Hey look, it's Siegfried and Roy;" and people sometimes confront them and possibly verbally and physically assault them for being the way they are.
All I can say is that these people sure have STRONG desires to rebuke God--REALLY strong desires. If I wanted to buck God, I think I would just steal a case of beer from 7-Eleven, or tell a lie, something like that.

I was molested as a very very young child. it puts thoughts into your head.this is the way children are indoctrinated into the practice of homosexuality. I fought that for many years and won. never did any homo type actions.. and am now at peace with that. I asked though. every person i met that was homosexuale are bi sexuale. . they most ALL said YES.most told me the story about how they were molested by a person of the same sex as children.it is not natural.it should be fought. but those that do it are all gods children.as long as they accept the spirit of god into there lifes.. I support the death punishment in my home state of south carolina.for people who molest very young children.may god have mercy on there souls.

Is having brown eyes a choice? If so, explain why someone would make this choice?
Well I knew that I did not want to have blue eyes because, statistically, this would make me more likely to be gay. Sexual orientation is fundamentally a genetic matter and just shows how truly spectacular creation is with all these 'choices' thrown in to the soup.

The same way anyone would make a choice .... even a bad one.
Why would anyone "choose" to be a crack addict.. or an alcoholic, or a murderer.... they make bad decisions that lead them down a path they dont feel they can get back from. But that dosnt mean that God created them to be crack addicts.. ect.... it was a choice they made. And if you feel thats different because homosexuality deals with emotion.... talk to an addict sometime.. about the emotional roller coaster they are on as addicts..... youll be amazed at the parallel you will see.
There are straight men who make bad choices in the women they are interested in..... there are straight women who make bad choices about the men they are interested in.
And in the same manner some people can be tempted into making bad choices as to the sexual gender they are interested in.
The sin isnt the temptation.... the sin comes with acting on that temptation.

I do not believe it's a choice, I think you're born with your sexuality. Do heterosexual people recall chosing to like the opposite gender? I certainly didn't choose to like men that's for sure, I'm just stuck with being attracted to them :)
