I'm 16 years old and so is my boyfriend. We've been friends for a little while, gotten really close, and started dating on Friday.

However, his parents have suddenly decided I'm a bad influence... they like me, yet they dissaprove of me as his girlfriend because yesterday he was helping me with homework at school (we have lots of witnesses saying that we really were studying and not making-out) and then they showed up early (right after I had put away my books).... long story short, when he got in the car they apparently accused us of making-out.

I'm definitely not a bad influece... I strive to be a really good person and I've never had somebody think I'm a bad influence before. I know I probably sound like a baby, but it really hurts to automatically be black-listed because of false assumptions.

What should I do to get his parents to trust us, respect us, and let us hang-out with out thinking we're going to be all over eachother?

We've barely even kissed eachother...

as someone who is always deemed bad by parents that dont know me but deemed good by those who do, id say stick around. its not like youre dating his parents. let them have a chance to see who you really are. and be good in front of them. even if you arent behind their back.

Are his parents fundies ?

If his parents are fundies well talk to one of your family members about what a fundie is

Be there for your boyfriend in ways that dont always involve sex or making out

Do some of the nonsexual courting rituals a guy would typicly do for a girl

Buy him a gift .(nothing to terribly expensive 10 to 40 dollars )

Let him show off that gift to his parents

Invite him over for dinner

Mail him a box of chcolates with your name on it

Better yet maybe have some flowers delvered to him

His parents will be shocked that you realy do care for him and will lower there guard

Well, from what I've heard about you last week at the frat party, I would say his parents are spot-on. For what it's worth, a burro wasn't meant to be used that way, sweetie!

When ever you are around his parents just try to act like a sweet little angel. jk. But don't be to huggy and mushy. Try to act like the girl every parent wants for their little boy.

i've been there too. hang in there and let them get to know you, it may take a while but eventually they'll look at you as you and not the girl who is trying to take their son away from them...
