I mean most of them are not players, they just want to spend alot of time with their g/f's. What is wrong with that? You don't hear guys complaining about women being clingy. Clingy guys love their g/f's, and would do anything for them, so why treat your clingy b/f life dirt, or dump them? I think it's wrong!!!

if clingy guys are like clingy girls then they need to get some self esteem.
if someone hasn't the confidence to do things on their own or without another's approval all of the time, then they don't inspire me very much.
it's like having a dog that follows you around ALL the time and gets under your feet and constantly wants attention. you do want the dog there, but not CONSTANTLY as too much is smothering and just looses it's appeal. the same goes with people, if they are too needy/clingy then the are draining and don't leave enough space for you to enjoy some time to yourself and don't allow themselves a chance to grow as well.
nope, clingy people don't do a lot for me at all. but we all have individual tastes so if you like your partner like that then good for you and i hope you enjoy.

It's individual choice. Some girls and guys for that matter enjoy their space and being clingy can be seen by some guys and girls as a sign of codependence.
There's a difference between being clingy and spending as much time as you can together. When the relationship is new being clingy can be a bit overwhelming and a bit scary for some.
I'm a guy and i have complained about some of the girls i dated as being clingy because i do have my guy friends i like to hang out with every once in awhile and i'm sure that girls have their friends they like to hang out with.
It can also be a trust issue. I talked about another girl i dated on here before in a "love at first sight question" she had broken up with her boyfriend before me because he would always call her and check up on her and would not want her to go anywhere unless he knew where she was and even asked one of his friends to check up on her on a regular basis to make sure she didn't go anywhere or do anything.
Don't be clingy to the point you're smothering the other person. Furthermore if a guy or girl thinks that their other half is being clingy they need to let that person know. You shouldn't hide those thoughts.
Be a part of their life not the only thing in their life.

Maybe the girls who have a clingy boyfriends feel that the boyfriend just wants another mother.
I was a kind of clingy boyfriend once and had no problems with it, anyway you have to treat a lady nice but theres no reason why your girlfriend should treat you like dirt unless theres something else wrong with her or you have done something wrong. Best finding out whats what.

Well I'm one that doesn't like EXTREMLY clingy guys, but I do think that clingy guys are kind. As long as they don't do the touchy-feely thing( which is my biggest pet peeve with guys) then I think it should be all good. Players aren't clingy, they're more distant. Time is always a good thing in a relationship, but sometimes it's scarce. I agree with you, it is wrong.

I believe you wasn't hard enough or man enough.. Some ladies like a rough type of man.. with a like back bone. It doesn't mean your not a wonderful person.. you just need to be able to give space. Show that your confident, hard, soft, and respectful of a person space is all. No its not right to be dumped just because your clingy but most woman don't care for that its like you don't trust them being alone.

It's ok but you can also be annoying if you need to be everywhere she is talking to you day in and day out on the phone if you don't let her breathe its annoying and it shows you don't trust or you obsessed and tha't not a good sign just back off alittle let your girlfriend call you sometimes let her ask what you're doing give her an element of surprise hang with your boys sometimes!!

Well provided its not psychotic clingy I dont think theres anything wrong with it - theres a fine line between clingy and possessive though - you need to make sure you dont overstep it!
I think its nice when guys make a point of wanting to be with their women a lot so if I had a clingy boyfriend - I think Id be quite appreciative of him - provided again he wasnt overbearing. xx

It is not that they want to spend all their time with their g/f that bothers girls. I dated a guy who was clingy and it was like he was sucking the life out of me. It is hard to explain. It was not enough that I spent most of my time with him he wanted everything else; my thoughts, my Friends, my family- everything. Essentially I need enough room to still fell like myself to do things on my own and not have someone constantly seeing what I am doing. I hope that helps answer your question.

well there is nothing wrong except that clingy guys might be only into someone for a short period of time or the problem is that females don't like to cling onto because they like some freedom...........trust me I know...........but you are right clingy guys are really good to their gf and that can be a good thing
