They are OLD little tiny grooming scissors and are rusted a bit and it went through my sock and poked a tiny hole in my big toe.

Do you think I need to update my tetness shot? I can't actually remember when I got one last?

Don't take this as gospel but I don't think it's rust that does it. I'm pretty sure that "rusty things can give you tetanus" is just because if something is rusty it could have been outside long enough to get infected. If the scissors have been always inside it's probably not going to give you tetanus. But what could getting the shot hurt?

yes I do think you should get a tetness shot. Plus also I would wash off your toe with hot soapy water and clean it with perioxide and put some medicine on it and dress it and then go get you shot. I get the doctor to look at it to make sure no infection has gotten in yet. that being the scissors were on the rusted side. good luck suzie

If you have no idea when you had one you should get a tetness shot. just a small poke should not cause any problems just put antibiotic on it

you should update your shot, and when you see the doctor, tell your doctor about the scissor thing
