I was really into the Goth/punk scene during my senior year of high school and for a few years after. I think my Christian Fundamentalist mother understood what I was doing wasn't "sinful." My stepdad just thought my friends and I looked stupid. Almost twenty years later, my 9 year old daughter is a HUGE Tim Burton fan and loves skulls--and Jesus. NOT IN THAT ORDER! My point is Christians come in all varieties: Goth, prep, jock, young, old, etc. Just love one another.

I'm Christian and goth, what's the problem? If your parents don't like the way you are, maybe you're misrepresenting yourself. Try it again, less abrasively this time.
