I've been taking 30 mg. of amitryptylene every night at bedtime as a migraine preventive--I started having migraines two years ago after brain surgery, but the amitryptylene has been fairly effective. Ask your doctor about it. As a backup, I've had a lot of luck with a homeopathic herb called Nux Vomica. It has often been more effective than Midrin, and it's available OTC from homeopathic medicine shops. Check out the link below and don't give up yet. Please let us know if you find relief.

If you are unable to work because of your physical condition you have a very good chance, plus there are lots of lying docotrs out there that would support almost anything you say.
