Larceny-theft is the unlawful taking of property that belongs to someone else with the intent to keep it

Larceny - the wrongful taking and carrying away of the personal goods of another from his or her possession with intent to convert them to the taker's own use
A person who is guilty of larceny is therefore a theif.

I don't think i've ever heard it phrased that way but a larceny thief is by definition someone who steals atricles or items...ie shoplifting, cell phone etc....
