How would not be able to buy and sell if it not a literal mark?

LITERAL rev13: 14Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

yes friend it is a literal mark.... which will be placed either on the hand or the forehead of the person recieving it. It is not a mark you can take by accident or by happenstance. If you and I are still here when the time of the mark comes you will know what it is if you pay attention to what the scripture tells you to look for in that time :)

The mark of the beast is believing the devil's lies. Rev 9:4 And it became commanded them that they ought to no longer harm the grass of the earth, neither any eco-friendly component, neither any tree; yet only those adult adult males which have not the seal of God of their foreheads. The seal of God is the understanding of the reality. The mark of the beast is the lies of the devil. what's the lie? The lie is that the devil will come earlier Jesus Christ, searching like Christ, to make sure that human beings to worship him. After that the authentic Christ will come. Rev thirteen:11 and that i beheld yet another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had 2 horns like a lamb, yet he spake as a dragon.

Could be either one or even both. We will not know until it happens. Looks like people will be aware of what it is as they have a choice.
