be proactive. definatly do not join the navy if you want to join the air force. thats a WHOLE life decision youre making there.

so call another air force recruiter and ask him these questions. if he says it is accredited ask him if he would please fax that information to your current recruiter. if your current recruiter IS avoiding you then go to another recruiter and tell him whats going on. Trust me, a recruiter is going to get in trouble if he/she doesnt work his best to get a qualified person in.

another possibility is that your recruiter is just a lazy piece of ****. in fact, now that i think about it thats probably what it is, your recruiter is just useless. you could tell him 50,000 times and it woudlnt accomplish anything. SERIOUSLY, my advice to you is to just go see another air force recruiter. that is your best bet. this guy your with is never going to get anything done.

The AF recruiter is being lazy. I'm a Army recruiter, we have to evaluate your transcripts, that would only take a few days at most. As soon as we find out the transcripts are good, your in. All these other answers are correct, find another AF recruiter, this guy is not helping you out.

Another thing, the AF is in a Force Shaping mode right now, meaning they are cutting personnel down. Last I read from the Air Force times, a private news magazine, the AF wants to get rid of 40,000 full time slots by 2009.

Good luck, I hope you make it in the AF.

I agree with most of the answers here already. Your recruiter is being lazy, not wanting to do the job right. When I enlisted in the Army, I had a recruiter that only his wife could have desired because he wasn't worth a darn!! I kept getting the run around from him. After a couple of months, I DID go over his head. I was being sworn in less than a month later. Best advice, talk to his superior--or-- talk to another recruiting office. Good luck!!

Hun go back to my last reply to this question, go above him, dont know where you are based out of but sounds like you got the idiot my son got first of all.

Yes quotas are important but it is all about meeting them not going over them.

Go to the OFFICE and dont leave till you have a reply period

Husband was a navy recruiter for 4 years

FOOT NOTE got to agree with Sean down there.......some recruiters are really really bad at their job, did you know that they are not REALLY considered recruiters by the Air Force till they have been doing the job for more than 9 months, they are in training.......like any thing else you might want to avoid a life altering decision based on a TRAINEES skill or lack there of

I would go to another air force recruiter. You can visit one in another town and try to get information from him/her.

Sometimes, if you have a special circumstance, like you attended school in another country, they do not want to do the work.

What are you interested in doing? I am in the Navy (not a recruiter) and willing to answer questions that you have, email me, if you like.

It sounds like the School has not sent the needed info. I suggest you make up you mind Air force or Navy. Also remember your not his only prospect, guy might be busy.

instead of looking at it like the recruiter is lazy..maybe this recruiter is wanting the prospective recruit to PROVE that he really really really wants in by showing intitiative and doing the research himself as well as continuing to call and ask about his status. the AF is overmanned, they can be picky and will be more willing tolet in somebody who shows initiative and a genuine desire to enlist.
