I personally use candles. The ones that work the best are called "Coffee and Cream" by Illuminations (link below - if it doesn't work, just search "coffee" at illuminations.com). If you like the smell of coffee, you'll absolutely love these candles. It's very powerful and after about an hour, it will permeate several rooms around it. I don't know what they put in this thing, but it's amazing. It gets rid of cigarette smoke, generalized funk, and any other stink you can imagine. Plus, it's not a harsh coffee scent; it's very sweet and smooth.
Other than that, the Airwick Scented Oil X-Press isn't too bad. Just tape down the little button that gives the "burst of freshness." That lasts about a month and is pretty potent if you keep that button pushed down. In a small room, you'll choke to death. In a large room, it would probably be very effective without being overwhelming.

the key isn't a specific brand but the key is to use these products in excess. i have 10 glade plug ins with vanilla oil. and i put two in each room and the whole house smells of vanilla. and i love that cause i have four cats in the house. and we change the litter box EVERY DAY, sometimes twice a day. but still you dont want that smell about. and i have even been complimented on my vanilla perfume when i'm out of the house. and i dont wear perfume lol but they smell the scent on my clothes. you might also want to go to a hardware store like Lowes, or Home Depot. they have those professional air sprayers, thats on a timer. the ones you see above public restroom doors. i saw them there once. GOOD LUCK,lissette

OZIUM-Fresh Scent. This stuff is STRONG! But, it immediately removes all odors (smoke or otherwise) from a car, room, or any other place really. I usually buy it at Walgreens, but I am sure it is available at other similar stores. It is in a spray can, with a blue and white label.

I do not want to be the bearer of not good news but I have tried all of them. and NONE>> NONE>>>> NONE work even though they are advertised to bring great odors to the room. The best way is to use an aerosol spray.. like OUST.. Candles are nice but FAR too expensive and they do not disperse over a large area
