It is true. When you are high you go within yourself and you shut others out.

I think there is a grain of truth to this, but only a grain. Marijuana can impair a person's willingness to suffer fools gladly. A person who is a relatively experienced user gradually comes to a more mellow philosophy of life, and therefore is less tolerant of the bossy, the demanding, the pushy lifestyle of modern living.

But this is actually drawing closer to the people who have a gentle, more tolerant lifestyle, more than a drawing away from the uptight crowd. It does, quite specifically, make people intolerant of hypocrisy and BS. And quite specifically, it makes teenagers less tolerant of the BS being slung at their schools.

I think it depends on whether or not you're for or against recreational marijuana usage. I personally have tried it with some friends, and thought we all got along fine and had a good time. I think maybe if you let it control your life and just smoke pot all day long and dont hang out with anyone anymore, then sure, it could distance you from them

I distanced myself from a lot of people. People I knew would be upset with my smoking, like my family. I lived 250 miles away from my family, and before I smoked, I would visit all the time. After I started, I wanted to do nothing but smoke. For fear they would think less of me, I never went home.

Pot smokers tend to avoid people who don't smoke and gravitate towards people who do. So, yes, the non-smokers get some distance from the users. It's similar with cigarette smokers. Cigarette smokers aren't likely to visit a home or restuarant where they are not allowed to smoke. Non-pot smokers aren't likely to let you light up in their homes or cars, so frequent users will probably stay away. Also people tend to hang out with people who have similar interests and hobbies. In many ways smoking pot becomes a lifestyle or type of hobby, so the people who don't partake often aren't welcome or just don't want to be around.

Yes. Once addicted, you tend to think slow. And people around you will distant from you. Not you distant from them.

Also you mouth will have a permanet stink, which you wont notice. Others from far will smell that stench.

Marijuana is a downer. YOu must listen to Bob Marley music if you need to smoke it, otherwise dont do drugs.

You can do some sports which gives you adrenelin rush too. Like bungy jumping. Dare you.

yup its true, my mates man is like too diff people when he smokes, it suxs for ma mate becoz if he hasnt got it hes a major ****, but if he has it then hes the sweetest man ever, the thing is with weed people smoke it when they are upset, or angry and they tend to smoke it 24/7 so they are not use to there emotions anymore so when they havent got weed and havent had it for say a day or so they tend to get very aggressive becoz they arnt use to there emotions, weed takes over all abilty, when people dont smoke weed you see we can handle what emotions we have to take on, my mate now feels the need to bye the weed for her man as she cant handle what hes like without it, so if anyone asks you if you what a toke on weed say no i like to have control of my self thnks anyway,

Rumor.

It affects your short term memory . . like lock combinations and such, and tends to take away your motivation to do a lot of work.

You tend to want to kick back and listen to music, or watch the sunset. And you're fine to do that with people.

From what I hear, of course.

If you're a rookie and you get paranoid it does. Once you are enjoying life high you can actually interact deeper with everyone.

Just open your eyes and BE LOVE.
