Never ask a girl if she likes you especially in front of other girls. It just creates an awkward moment for everyone. Girls are not naturally cruel. Some girls just tend to be mean around their "crew" to get a laugh or create a little drama. Learn from this and simply move on.

Well I used to be a girl, but now an old woman lol.. but yes, girls as well as boys can be cruel. Its called immaturity. Trust me, they do grow out of it. Hold your head up and forget about the incident. They are just immature.. plain and simple.

some can be cruel, but not all of them. you may want to change your approach, however, and instead of just coming up 2 someone and asking them if they like you, why don't you start a conversation first? (give her a compliment "You have very pretty eyes." or something like that) it may not have been you so much that they were laughing at, but your "approach" may have thrown them off guard.

Just stay away from airheaded and bitchy girls. There's gotta be a girl you like that has a sensitive personality. And some men can act the same way, too you know, everyone has a different personality.

Do you really care what they think? At least you have the guts to ask the girl. The girls will come to admire your courage and you will have no problems. Then the girls that laughed at you will want you, it will be your turn to laugh.

well the best thing that i can tell you is that they do that because girls basically believe in a social status
in other words u have to have a "social status" and i guess she just laughed because i guess either she knew she could do better or she believes u do not have a social status
But that is all BS

So what if she and her friends laughed..you don't want to be with a shallow twit anyway do you??? Find someone to spark with that has true grace and beauty that comes from within...not some plastic wannabe that has to pack fatties and uglies around her to make herself feel special.

You're first mistake was making the direct approach.
You're second mistake was making the direct approach while she was with her friends.
Sorry for your traumatic experience but that type of girl and her friends are pathetic and you shouldn't even consider socializing with them.
Next time, carefully but subtly observe a girl (an intelectually and emotionally confident woman is better) before trying to establish social contact with her.

men do the same thing..next time ask her when she is alone so that the other girls wont be albe to laugh with her..chances are she will regret that one day..when a guy laughs in her face

yeah, if you just go up to a girl and ask her something like that in front of her friends, she is probably going to react like that 9 times out of 10.
