There are many sayings about that but for a bird freak like me, i will tell you the truth. It is NOT true that only male budgies will talk. The males are easier to train because they are more willing to do things. Females are a lot more stuborn. If you would like to teach a budgie to talk, male or female, you first must gain its trust. Make sure you have a good understanding of your bird. If your bird does not trust you it will be difficult. Start out with a one syllable word such as "hi" Very often repeat this word many times in the same voice. Eventually your budgle will begin to say it. Be patient. Some budies learn to talk sooner than others. Some budgies can only say one word and othes can say thousands. I hope this helped.

Both can talk. Males are usually better at it than the females. I have a pair of budgies. My males talks the best! He says about 50 different words. My female budgie says about 15 different words. My favorite word that she says is KISS! with sound effects.

the two lady and male budgies have the means to check a thank you to communicate. the only difficulty is people who're coaching the budgie to communicate generally anticipate that it will ensue in one day yet like something it takes time and a million-2 words could basically study at a time byrepeating it repeatedly agin as too many words can confuse the chook and therfore take longer to tutor them. adult males are believed to communicate better then women people yet as suggested until now they could the two study.

actually I don't think that budgies talk they are just slightly larger parakeets that can be hand tamed and aren't as flighty,. The males however do not bite and when they do it tickles the female has extra muscle in the jaw for nesting and can do serious damage to your hand. They are pretty birds though.
