Why do people not support the war in Iraq?

I have just a few facts why everyone should support the war.

1. Terrorists attacked our country five years ago.

2. We are killing terrorists in Iraq.

3. We have had zero terrorist attacks since the war started.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? There is no reason to take our troops out if Iraq! In fact, we should invade Iran and Jordan!

Oh, OK, so our lives are worth saving, but not if it costs money. That makes sence.

The citizens of the US take freedom for granted! WAKE UP! FREEDOM IS NOT FREE AND IF YOU WANT TO KEEP IT, THAN START SUPPORTING THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO FIGHT DAY IN AND DAY OUT FOR YOU! These soldiers are doing their job, and this war is what they have trained for. You can ask any military person where they would want to be right now and I can guarantee that if they are doing their duty as a soldier, than they'll tell you they want to be oversea's with their brothers-in-arms protecting the one thing that we "americans" don't realize we truly have! Not all people are like the ones on Yahoo Answers. Most American's support the troops. The liberal media would like everyone to believe no one is supporting them or the war in Iraq. No one wants war, but it has to be done, and Thank God there are young men and women brave enough to fight for freedom, so we can get these Terrorists on their soil and not on ours.

It seems alot of people like to harp on the same things day after day. For instance someone on here said that 9-11 was an inside job by the American Gov't (What they mean is GW Bush attacked those towers) But then those same people will call him stupid and a liar. If GW Bush is so stupid how did he come up with that plan? You're right we have had zero attacks since 9-11-01 but the liberal media doesn't want to put that out there. All they want to talk about is how many soldiers died today and how "We" still haven't gotten Bin Laden. Alot of good things are happening in Iraq. Schools are being built, and the infrastructure has never been better, but you won't hear the liberal media say anything about that.

You have some good points here and they are all correct. Don't let anyone tell you that 9-11 was an inside job. Liberals don't know what they are talking about!

Your first premise is wrong. There were no Arabs involved in 9/11. It was an inside job by the American Government.

Your second premise is wring.
How can you call someone defending their own homeland a terrorist. The terrorists in Iraq are the invaders - America.

He wears the same things for weeks, but makes sure his weapons are clean.

You go to the mall and get your hair redone.
He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.

You're angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He's told he will be held over an extra 2 months.

You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.

You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.

You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet

You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting.

You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of men like him.
He hears the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.

You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the broken bodies lying around him.

You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.
He does exactly what he is told.

You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call, write home, sleep, and eat.

You crawl into your soft bed, with down pillows, and get comfortable.
He crawls under a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gunfire.

You sit there and judge him, saying the world is probably a worse place because of men like him.
If only there were more men like him!

they dont support the war due to the fact that it has left iraq in a politically unstable country and now america has to go in get people killed and straghten out there problems and set them up with a government stable enough to control the country

Very good points. I'm for it, the media is the reason most people are against it. The media reports mostly only the bad things that happen over there, none of the good things are ever heard about. Why is that? Because the media is mostly controlled by the liberals who are against the war. If we don't fight those terrorists, they'll try to take over the rest of what they haven't, they'll succeed, then will try to take us over. I don't know about you, but I'd rather fight it on their soil then ours.
I do agree with invading Iran, they really are up to no good.
