Why would God punish us for Adam&Eve's "original sin", when God knew of the betrayal before it occurred, and God could have prevented it by not placing the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden?
He didn't have to mess with free will, just not put the Tree in the Garden.
He didn't have to mess with free will if he'd just kept Lucifer out of the Garden (he knew of Lucifer's actions before they occurred as well).
So, given how all-powerful God is, and how he could have prevented original sin without messing with free will, how does anyone justify punishing -us- when original sin was part of His plan all along?
Why do children have to go hungry and die, or suffer from debilitating diseases? Why must any of us suffer for a crime we never committed, a crime which God Himself allowed to occur when He could have prevented it -without- messing with free will?
How do we call this a "God of Love"?

the tree was to test our fedility to God. He never forced us or satan to go anywhere he wanted> Adam and Eve sinned, we are tempted and SIN, we are no differnet than any other human in history> The PURPOSE of the "tree" is to show us that we NEED God and that we can't be our own master's by following our desires or else we suffer, instead we should follow god and trust him to lead us into happy lives, for he knows best>

i'm somewhat taken aback to work out you using the JPA initials, because you've regularly been fairly antagonistic. i wish this exhibits a replace of heart. yet your question would not look very understand-how of Judaism. except for some thing else, even with is in the Tanakh (no longer Torah, it quite is the first 5 books, no longer Jeremiah), that develop into then and the Jews saved their covenant. that is now. we've regularly felt unclear about G-d, as might want to all and sundry, Jewish, Christian or Muslim, who in simple terms memories the international (would not favor to be written in sacred texts). Why do Christians nevertheless worship G-d even as toddlers die, human beings struggle through poor ailment and so on? The Jewish way of existence is to maintain the covenant, to rail antagonistic to G-d even as needed, and bypass on preserving the covenant. that's what we do. I think most of us are coming to understand that the bible is a book written by many people who wrote what they believed to be true just as the greek myths and any number of other so called religious books. No one and I mean your minister or anyone else knows how we came to be here or if there is any purpose in any of it. The only place you will find God or Spirit as you please to call it is in your own heart and mind. If you quietly listen in the stillness you will feel a presence that you feel connected to.I tell you this from my own experience. I was once like you and looked for answers in the bible.After I was old enough to think for myself and forget what I had been taught I came to an understanding. I do not discourage any one from their religion if it comforts them but for myself I look within my heart. I find the Spirit there and it has nothing to do with religion.

AND, I DO NOT KNOW WHY DAMNATION FOR ALL ETERNITY WAS CREATED FOR HUMANITY, WHICH ONLY LIVE ABOUT 80 YEARS OR SO HERE ON EARTH.
HOWEVER........If it was not for rules at least presented to people, who can then choose to make or brake them , there would even be more of a problem.
