I am using Mountain Dew because it is green and adding lime sherbert to it. It is really good.

There are several possibilities depending on what you're looking for. You could always do a simple punch using green Hi-C & put a block of dry ice in it so that it will look like fog or steam rolling out of the bowl. You could even throw in some gummy worms or candy bugs to add to the look of it.
Depending on how many people you're trying to entertain and if you're looking for an entree, you could make a batch of chicken & dumplings ( with thick noodle looking dumplings you buy from the supermarket); add some green food coloring & use cookie cutters in different shapes (frogs, lizards, pumpkins, bugs) to cut shapes out of the dumplings before adding them to the mixture. It is something you could pre- cook the night before for a large crowd or to easily heat up & feed to the kids before trick or treating. It will taste the same, but look kind of grusome.
Another option is to make split pea soup, which is already green & thick. In doing this, you have the same advantages as pre-cooking or slow cooking in a crock pot. Unfortunately, there are alot of people who don't like it.
My only other suggestion is to go on MarthaStewart.com & see what she has to offer. If you can't find anything that will suffice, there is an icon where you could e-mail the people @ her business & ask them. They're usually timely about getting back to you.
Also try doing a search with those key words & Halloween.
Good Luck!

Here is one I'm going to try this year! It's a cool black color and has a surprise as the ice.

INGREDIENTS:
1 (.13 ounce) envelope unsweetened grape soft drink mix
1 (.13 ounce) envelope unsweetened orange soft drink mix
2 cups white sugar
3 quarts cold water
1 liter ginger ale

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
To make a frozen hand, wash a disposable glove, fill with water, seal with a rubber band and freeze until hard.
Stir together grape soft drink mix, orange soft drink mix, sugar and water until solids are dissolved. Combine with chilled ginger ale just before serving. Dip the frozen hand briefly in warm water, then peel off the glove. Float the prepared hand in the punch bowl for a ghastly effect

Sorry, I didnt see the bubbling part till I had already answered

You need lots of sweet peas, the once you buy as dry-food. Soak these in water and lots of sugar for a night before boiling (saves gas). These will taste unexpectingly great!

Now, make a green drink. Any drink. With or without alcohol, just add green food coloring or a green fruity syrup. Add the sweet peas and it will look horrible, but tastes great!!

once you figure out the liquid take some grapes and peel them and freeze them in ice tray with red kool aid, look like eyeballs! Then freeze some rubber gloves, washed to get our the powder , with any thing you want, put rubber band around it and put a couple in the bowl every now and then to freak people out and keep it cold. They look like hands so use your imagination for anything like that. Have fun!

I've seen people use grapes for eyeballs, spaghetti for intestines, (or sausage) and jello makes for just good texture, it can be a lung or a heart , don't forget gummy worms, ........and for added effect, get some dry ice and create a fog around all these "treats" served up on silver platters. use cotton candy for hair.
