$30 - $40 and it depends on the location. If it's the only tattoo artist within a 100 miles he might be high, if there's a couple of artists then it's probably cheaper due to competition.

Most tattoo artists charge by the hour {most of them charge an average of $100 per hour}. I've got a tattoo about six inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide and { a red rose with a long stem through a heart, and a ribbon with my daughter's name and date of birth on it, in full color }. This took three hours to complete, but the guy charged only $150 because he took a couple of breaks to answer the phone and smoke a cigarette, plus his shop was located at his own home {no rent to pay}. I guess that what you're describing would take around an hour to do, so I'd say it'll be about a hundred bucks at the most. You might want to go to several different tattoo parlors and describe to the artist what you want done so he/she can give you an estimate of the cost. It would also be a good idea to ask if you can stay for a while and watch him/her at work on an actual client. This will give you an idea of his/her hygienic practices { make sure that a new, sealed needle is used for each client, that the artist wear gloves, changes them and washes hands between clients, and that an autoclave is used to sterilize all non-disposable equipment }; and the quality of the finished job. Then you can compare prices, sanitation practices and quality, and decide which would be best for you.

It would probably cost about $50, I say this because most artists have a minimum price. One inch by one inch is a REALLY small tattoo and usually if a tattoo is that small it is very difficult to see any detail or the detail may 'bleed out'. The artists I have gone to have told me that the bigger the better as far as being able to tell what the tattoo is and quality of the detail. But ultimately it is your choice. Happy inking!!

Hi from my experience it varies by the artist and shop,( i have 6 tattoos and 5 of them from the same shop and if the place practices safe sterile tattooing, and you follow their instructions after recieving your tattoo infection shouldn't be a concern.) some shops, offer 2 colors and a set price based on size, some shops offer specials throughout the month, where i live 2 colors and a 1"x1" tattoo is only $25 on the 25 th of each month. Best bet would be for you to take a pic of what you want to a shop and have them estimate the cost and ask if they offer specials.

It depends on the intricacies of the design, but here in CA, most artists charge $100 an hour.

GREAT !!! Not the initial cost that's sometimes a problem, it's what it costs when the tat gets infecto and the pus runs into your hand. After a day of that gangrene sets in and your hand rots off.

worry about the cost. it depends on where you go. different places cost different prices...i got mine done for 80 but i got no infection at all. again depends on where you go and how much color you get. just make sure it's a clean place with clean people...strange but hollywood has a bunch of good places.
