I got someone else after I left him. Then, I had to go around him for the divorce papers and had bought a cheap ring at Wal-Mart and showed it off, saying that my boyfriend (who is really my fiance now) bought it for me and that we were getting married real soon but haven't set the date yet, and showed off to him the car we bought together--something he could never do for me! We were together for 20 long, miserable years and he NEVER bought me a ring! Got me cars, but they were all repossessed or wrecked by him or his son. Needless to say, it felt good to 'get back at him' for once. He was sooooooooooooooooooooo upset to think that we were getting married right away. Oh, and I also told him that we were buying a house together--something that he could NEVER EVER do for me. I loved the expression on his face! He didn't think that I could play dirty, but boy can I when I want to. My fiance learned by my doing this that he should NOT ever get me angry. lol

Mine was a nasty divorce. He kept dragging me back to court for stupid reasons - like I didn't allow my son to take his golf clubs to his dad's on a certain day. He tried to get a restraining order on me because I kept score for my son's basketball team and was always sitting too close to him - I sat at the scorers table and he sat behind my son's team - the judge laughed when he threw that one out. He tried to get custody because he said I was to unstable to have the kids - we both were forced to go through a battery of psychological tests - I scored more normal than he did.
