I have this problem every time I go off of a medication. It is possible that you are stopping too quickly. You should be weaned off over a period of several weeks. If you were taking 150mg you should reduce to 75 mg for a week or two then 35.5mg for another week or two before stopping. If you were taking 300mg add another week or two. Effexor has the worst withdrawal symptoms of the medications that I have taken.

Then, you would be stocked with the appropriate withdrawal counsel which provides help to plan your next steps, and a physique it truly is stabilised out. a pass to to a library for the 1st e book (hyperlink decrease than) would show to be of counsel. The taper you have had is basically shy of chilly turkey - no longer beneficial in any respect. some human beings can injury out with it, besides the indisputable fact that Effexor is accepted to be the main confusing of the SSRIs and SNRIs from which to withdraw. It has the shortest a million/2-existence, too, that's yet another reason to tuck some counsel decrease than your belt. some human beings come down by 10% of the present dose, some have bead counted and decreased by tiny quantities - stated interior the e book. Oh sure, withdrawal would intensify on the decrease levels (study it in Glenmullen's e book) so as that woudn't be weird and wonderful in case you get to the decrease doses and locate you may sluggish up the taper - some human beings want a protracted era to scrupulously taper off the final 37.5mg or so.

I was on Effexor XR and had to be weaned off of them. It is a anti depressant that you get dependent upon, just like illegal drugs. You MUST be weaned off of them slowly. Please see your doctor and find out what you need to do to be weaned off of the, or if you should be off of it at all. Only your doctor can tell you what you should do. DON'T leave it up to total strangers or friends or relatives to tell you this. Coming off of them too soon can cause serious withdrawals. I don't know if they can hurt you, but it may feel like it.

I have a close friend who had a similar experience when going off of Effexor XR, and he was weaned off slowly. He felt shooting pains like electric pulses that would run down his arms. It is tough, but it will go away, don't worry.
