When the protestants split from the Roman catholic cult they kept the RC sunday... mainly because som many were used to it. The fourth commandment has never been repealed by God. So that mean that Saturday is The Sabbath. If you want some documentation you should contact a Seventh Day Adventist church... ask for a copy of a booklet titled The Ten commandments Twice Removed... it will state the facts clearly and simply... Just do not fall for the rest of there dogma... they are off on a lot of other things... But they are right about the Saturday Sabbath.

previous question! God rested even as He develop into complete operating. For Muslims, the Sabbath is Friday, for Jews that's Saturday, for Christians that's Sunday. some calendar have the week starting up on a Sunday and some having it starting up on Monday. a piece of paper would not make the Sabbath a Saturday or a Sunday. that's the holy day after per week's worth of work. To God, there is not any time. Sabbath develop into made for mankind through God. an afternoon of relax and to honor Him for all that He had performed for us.

Well; you can get alot of reasons; I see the same ones over and over again.

WHY DO MOST STILL KEEP SUNDAY ?

Look what EZEKIEL 22:26,28 say about these people. These are some excuses for Sunday Worship.

'One says the Sabbath has been changed from the seventh to the first day of the week.'

'Another says that the Sabbath commandment requires only one day of rest after six of labor, and hence there has been no change.'

'Some reason that all ought to keep Sunday, because although, as they affirm, God did not appoint a particular day, yet aggreement is necessary; and to have any or every day a sabbath would be equal to no sabbath at all.'

'Others, to avoid the claim of God's law, assert that the Sabbath precept is one of those ordinances which was against us, contrary to us, blotted out, and nailed to the cross. Still they admit a day of rest and convocation is necessary, and therefore the day of Christ's resurrection, they say has been chosen.'

'Another class say they believe it is impossible to know which is the seventh day, although they have no difficuty in locating the first.'

'Some are so bold as to declare that Sunday is the original seventh day.'

'Others, with equal certainity, say that those who keep the seventh day are endeavoring to be justified by the law, and are fallen from grace.'

'Another class, with more liberal views, say they believe that every one should be fully persuaded in his own mind, whether he keep this day, or that, or none at all.'

'Still again, as if having found the great disideratum or missing link in the argument, men credited with even more than ordinary intelligence, will sometimes declare that it is impossible to keep the seventh day on a round and rolling earth; yet, strangely, they find no difficulty in keeping Sunday anywhere, and believe that this day should be observed the world over!'

The original sabbath was Saturday but now it is Sunday for some denominations and Saturday for others. We are not under the law and God calls us in Timothy to not waste time splitting hairs or arguing over the law but to deal with others in Christian love, avoiding controversy and going about the work of the Lord, caring for one another, sharing with one another.

God didn't create days of the week, man did. God didn't rest on a day of the week currently in existence because man created calendars.

Also, the notion of an omnipotent being getting winded and having to kick back for a day is ridiculous.

I still can't believe how people willingly accept these stories.

The Sabbath is on Saturday. We go to church because of the risen Christ. He rose on Sunday.

It has gotten to the point where God would be glad if you made a day holy to Him at all... who cares what day it really is, as long as you take it. And technically you are right, Saturday is the Sabbath.

Catholic church changed it, says so in it's catechism. Also, the previous pope released a statement reaffirming this.

And as for those who say the 7th day is sunday... not only do you have to look at your calendar... look at jews, do you think they would have forgotten their holy day?
