In most states it is illegal, but it most states it is legal for an adult to carry an unloaded firearm and most of the time it must be in the trunk or at least out of arms reach of the driver. I don't know what all of these people on here about not being able to carry a firearm in a vehicle even if you are an adult. What do you think hunters do? Send their firearms in the mail ahead of time to the place they're going to hunt at? The laws vary depending on the firearm (ie shotgun, handgun, rifel, etc.). Before transporting a gun in your vehicle, you should check your local laws regarding firearms in your vehicle.

it rather is a unfavourable international, no person is many times going on with that extra beneficial than felons. If the guy has been convicted of a criminal offense and he continues to be possible, why is he out of detention center? people who get all freaked out approximately firearms do no longer look to make the relationship between paroling violent criminals and the crime fee. As for persons who've finished their time and alter into rehabilitated returned into society, they nonetheless have the desirable to self-protection. somebody who bought some pot or surpassed a undesirable verify 2 many years in the past shouldn't could be disarmed. on the different hand a guy who kidnaps and rapes females and gets a 50 year detention center sentence and then gets paroled ideal away and is going around kidnapping and raping females and girls, the question could be why became that psycho grew to become loose usually.

Generally, yes (or maybe better put "probably").
There are exceptions to this in various places though, for instance in Arizona, it would be legal for a 16 year old to transport an unloaded firearm for the purpose of going hunting:
