Yes it does only slightly though..and muscle is wayyy more attractive than fat. What you weight is truly only a number...dont get too hung up on it...tone your body and feel good about yourself. We are all unique...celebrate who you are...

Yep, that's why the fat floats when you boil a piece of meat. To the honyok that said a pound of fat and a pound of muscle weigh the same, a pound of feathers and a pound of lead weigh the same also, but has nothing to do with the question.

Yes, it does. If you place 1lb of muscle next to 1lb of fat, the muscle would be 22% smaller in size than the fat. So this means if you had the same volume of muscle and fat, the muscle would weigh more. HTH : )

no, how could a pound of muscle weigh more than a pound of fat. a pound is a pound. the reason people say this is because a pound of fat takes up more space than a pound of muscle. fat is nasty and bubbly while muscle is more compact and solid. that's why you could still weigh the same but look more fit if you have more muscle than fat.
