An opinion didn't heal me, it was Jesus Christ.
We are worth a Son to God.

To some degree, you are correct. However, consider this: if I believe in something, does my "opinion" about it make it truth for me and no one else? Consider our planet. I believe it to be spherical, and there is evidence to support my belief. But there are people who believe the Earth is flat. I don't know why they believe that, but they do. Is the Earth really flat, or is that just their opinion? Remember, in my opinion, the Earth is round, and if you say that all belief is just opinion, and if all opinions are of the same value, then the Flat-Earthers are just as correct as I am. However, we both can't be right, can we? Beliefs don't change facts. Just because some people think the Earth is flat doesn't mean it really is. I would guess that since this question is under Religion and Spirituality, you're referring to beliefs about God. I realize that there is no "proof" that God exists, whereas there is scientific evidence to support a spherical Earth. But I think the basic principles still apply. If God exists, He exists whether or not people believe in Him, just like the Earth is round whether or not people believe it is. If He doesn't exist, then people believing that He does will not make Him exist. Beliefs do not change reality, only our perception of it.

Yes, belief is not fact, it is opinion. Having read many of the statements to the contrary above, I can only say that simply because a book states something is true, does not make it true. There is no more proof that the Bible is the word of God than the Koran, the Rig Veda, the Zendavesta, or any other holy book.
There is no record of Jesus from that time period other than the Gospels themselves (Josephesus's references have been proven to be forgeries). Not that I don't believe Jesus existed, the fact that Christianity came about so near his lifetime is very supportive of his having existed. But that still does not prove that his beliefs, or claims about him, are fact.

No. Some people have evidence for their opinions, others don't. The more extraordinary the claim, the more evidence it requires.
Invisible, all-knowning beings that snap worlds into existence like so much popcorn fall into that category.
You're free to believe anything you want. Your mistake may be in thinking every belief is equally deserving of respect.

if you have an opinion like a butthole, then it is a fact that everyone has one. beliefs and opinions should be supported by fact. my belief that gravity holds me on the earth is based in fact. it's not because i believe it, that makes it true.
opinions and beliefs should be supported by fact and then debated.
your belief should be backed up with facts...
at some point, the rules to debate the facts must be established. these rules tend to be subjective and things like what "is" is cause more confusion.

Yes, I can agree to that. My belief come from my opinion that what scripture says is right and correct. Another person's opinion may be that scripture is a nice fairy tale.
Bottom line is this - no one can convince another of anything. All we can do is present what we think is evidence and let the other person form their own opinion of the evidence. And that opinion of the evidence forms one's belief.

the truth is still the truth regardless of what people think. In the same way if ten million people believe a lie its still a lie.
If a person happens to believe the truth then it is much more than just an opinion. If he chooses to believe a lie then its just a lie.
Jesus said 'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life' and I think that statement was much more than just an opinion.

Nope, nope....that just is not right...some people have a living bible that speaks God's word to them, so that is God opinion...God hates fags, it is in the God opinion book...christians are merely parrots running around squawking the same tired old lines that have been fed to parrots for centuries...it is not THEIR opinion, it is the opinion of long dead men.
And do not forget about having a personal relationship with God...when God speaks directly to people, it is God's opinion which they receive, christians are merely the mouthpiece of God and you should just bow down and worship them as though they were God himself. :-)

It's only opinion if you haven't studied the evidence. If you form your opinion just on hearsay then ,yeah,it's just making up your own reality.but if you study the evidence(I'm talking hard evidence.Historical and archeological)you can't deny it unless you have an agenda you're sticking to,and truth be damned.

No you have to have inward revelation. A person would experience this if you receive the Lord into their life.
