what kind of excersizes are most effective in flattening your stomach and making it hard and a six pack

This is a different technique that I have been using for a while now...

When you breath... push out your stomach rather than you chest outward. This will stretch the stomach muscles. When you exhale your abs should retract.

I have taught myself to do this while I sleep... I helps a lot.

There are two factors that contribute to a flat stomach. First, is the size of your abdominal muscles. Second, is the amount of fat covering them. Both of these are necessary. You don't need to have bulging abdominal muscles to have a nice, flat tummy, but you'll want to get them toned and defined. Any of the popular abdominal exercises will work (sit-ups, crunches, knee-lifts, etc). Remember that you should spend at least as much time stretching your muscles as you do working them, half before and half after the workout. To reduce the amount of fat that covers your hard, toned abs, I recommend a cardiovascular workout. Running, jogging, eliptical, stairmaster, whatever you choose. You should try to keep your heart rate in your target zone for 20-30 minutes. Do these both, your tummy will get flat.

Leg lifts every day -- just hold your legs six inches off the floor.

Take small weights and raise them with straight arms from the floor to over your head, 180 degrees, until they touch your thighs -- then take them back over your head until they touch the floor again. Repeat ... back and forth. Do that every day too.

After a number of weeks, you'll see a difference.

Deep Breathing and Isolations. Strict dieting and great genetics. Or you can always go to the Plastic Surgeon and have it suck and implanted. Most people with six packs are extremely unhealthy. You have to strip yourself of your water weight also to really get them pumping out.

crunches are mild and less affetive. If yo don't mind not being able to laugh and your stomach hurting for a wee k then try v-sits. They work fast.put your legs together and pull them up to your chest while raising your chest like a situp. your bod should make a V. hope 2 help!

Crunches work your upper abs great. You can also do twisting crunches and side crunches to work your sides. As a few others have mention you can do leg lifts for your abs as well. Good Luck

while laying on the floor, hold your legs out about 6 inches from the floor. raise one leg above you and then lower to 6 inches. repeat with the other leg until you can't do them any more.

that'll do the trick (for now)

;-)
