Just seems odd they seperate themselves by refering to all Hispanics ( even legal citizens ) as Mexicans. They also belive speaking Spanish in America is acceptable, when all this does is cut off the lines of communication between people living within the same country.

Fox_Ameri... You are close, I work plant maintenance for a well known company. I have also helped desighn/build equipment for American Ordnance, which supplies alot of the bombs they use over in Iraq.

Markham L - I understand what you are talking about, I worked for a company that hired alot of illegals. When you are trying to get a production floor set to help them be more productive, it is hard to get their input when you need to talk with them via a interpreter.

gidget - I probally have meet more illegals then you, I think it is wrong for them to be here, and I have had a lot of negitive experiences with them in the past. I have also seen what they did to near by town.

They have segragated themselves,they really dont know what they want i believe,they made a big issue about how much Latino money is spent in the U.S.but not how much they ship back to Mexico,that is where they got the foothold.If big business recognizes them than where else can they muscle in.they seem to hide under the ruse that they are second class citizens and push this notion onto the rest of us but I believe they are trying to get power with no real sense of why.they speak spanish 'cause some dont know english and also to hide what they really think when they are around english only speaking people(even english only mexicans)they think they are owed something,why..I dont know

no, its just ppl like u who assume all illegal hispanics are from mexico. illegal immigrants come from everywhere: asia, africa, europe, s. america, & YES mexico. BTW, u can't prohibit or command a language in the USA, so what do u say about international business majors who may speak 4 or 5 languages-should they speak them only in other countries?-there is no difference between the two. i think u should take start learning other languages so ur not offended when they call u un cabron maldito! otherwise, don't blame others for more knowledge & skills that u never attained! I most certainly do not refer to all Hispanics or Latinos as "Mexican". And, allowing Spanish to be spoken in America OPENS the lines of communication for new LEGAL immigrants who have not yet mastered the language.

Now, you don't tell me what language to speak. I learned English, I talk to Americans in English and I am not forcing them to learn Spanish. But you can't tell me in what language I should speak to my relatives, or what language I should read in.
