Yes, sir. It is not a matter of belief but a matter of fact. Augustine said that the New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed and that the Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed. This is the best illustration that I can offer you. In the New testament we see prophecy fulfilled and it is still being fulfilled to the this day.

The OT is older, so of course it prefigures everything in the NT. It's debatable whether it's the truth, though.

Absolutely.From Genesis 3 ,the 1rst reference to the Messiah(crush the head ,bruise the heel).Noah's Ark the type of God 's protection for the Jews in the last days.Lot escaping the judgment of the non believers.The story of Joseph in Egypt,really parallels the life of Christ.and then there's the prophecies,such as Isaiah 53,talking of the Crucifixion,Psalm 22 the Crucifixion from Jesus' eyes written by David 1000 yrs before.etc. etc.

the Old Testament, or as you write O.T. is the school master for the New Testament.
As it says in the Word of God. It is the ensamples (example) for us today as we read the New Testament.
