The answer "light" in understandable, but mistaken. (Rule of thumb -- take what you read in typical "baby name" books and sites with a BIG grain of salt. Their scholarship is often rather sloppy.)

It is true that the Latin name "Lucian (variant "Lucius) means "light" (from "lux").

But the similar sounding name "Lucas" (from which we also get "Luke") comes from the Greek name "Loukas", meaning, "(one) from Lucania", the name of an ancient district of southern Italy.
