I am 20 yrs old (female) and i am friends w/ a 16 yr old(guy). I know w/ couples, sometimes one of the partners are very controlling, like needing to know where and who the other is talking 2 & hanging out with. and they call +10 times a day & even more when u dont answer then leave voicemails of how pissed off they are at u and wheather or not u r mad @ them. is it possiable for a "friend" w/ no further intentions other than being a friend to act this way?? what is ur opinion? it's to the point of where EVERY1 of my other friends yell at him and tell him that we are not married and for him to chill out. he gets so jealous if i go somewhere w/o him. i see him evryday and now lives w/ us (not my choice, live w/ my dad). i get annoyed cause not only must he know everything but i cant have ANY alone time. he also does not have a girlfriend & says he doesnt want one now...pls dont tell me how immature i am for being friends w/ someone younger. i dont discriminate based on age.

I guess this guy must have taken your close friendship with a different meaning. And he is really so crazy over you now. But boys his age are usually immature; they may do silly things like what you have mentioned. With his current frame of mind, he will simply brush off whatever you or your friends tell him. He will also continue to harass you and I will not be surprised if things got out of control pretty soon. I advise you to seek the help of someone much older to tick him off.

You are trying to be a friend and he is being a stalker. I hope you have a lock on your bedroom door. If not, case your room for hidden cameras. Seriously. This boy has moved beyond a friendship stage and seems obsessed with you. It is not normal. Good Luck.

Well, my dear, he is infatuated with you - although you say you are just friends, you mean A LOT more to him. You need to tell him that you are not his girlfriend and that he needs to mind his own business. Don't worry about your "friendship" - he is not a friend if he is doing those things to you. The best thing you could do would be to get a boyfriend.

I have a feeling that he is interested in you and wants to know what you are doing because he wants to be with you. Or he looks up to you and wants to do everything that you do. Tell him how you feel when he calls you all the time, or asks who you were out with. At least he would know how you feel and be able to control his attachment towards you

i do not discriminate because age is just a number. I believe that your guy friend is probably jealous because he might have some type of interest in you and don't know how to say it. that's why he's acting controlling.
